User Responsibilities

As a user of Govi Wallet, you are solely responsible for:

01

Private Key Management

Maintaining the confidentiality of your private keys, seed phrases, and passwords. Govi Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, meaning we cannot access or recover your keys if lost.

02

Transaction Verification

Carefully reviewing all transaction details before confirming. Blockchain transactions are irreversible and cannot be undone once confirmed on the network.

Ensuring your Windows, macOS, or Linux device is secure, updated, and free from malware that could compromise your wallet.

04

Compliance

Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction regarding cryptocurrency use, taxation, and reporting.

05

Backup

Creating and securely storing backups of your wallet recovery phrase in multiple safe locations.

Account Security

Security is paramount when managing cryptocurrency assets. You acknowledge and agree that:

You Are Responsible

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your device, passwords, and private keys. Govi Wallet does not store or have access to your private keys.

No Recovery

If you lose your private keys or recovery phrase, we cannot recover them for you. Your assets will be permanently inaccessible.

Unauthorized Access

You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your wallet. However, we are not responsible for losses due to unauthorized access.

Best Practice: Never share your private keys or recovery phrase with anyone, including individuals claiming to be from Govi Wallet support. We will never ask for this information.

When using Govi Wallet, you agree NOT to:

Illegal Activities

  • Use Govi Wallet for money laundering, terrorist financing, or any illegal activities

  • Engage in fraud, market manipulation, or deceptive practices
  • Attempt to hack, compromise, or disrupt the application or its infrastructure
  • Use the application in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the service
